Paul Anderson and Paul Green were on target as Town and Bournemouth drew 2-2 at Portman Road. Anderson put the home side in front on 36 but the Cherries hit back via Steve Cook's overhead kick just before the break. Green's first Blues goal restored the lead on 56 but Matt Ritchie's deflected freekick gained a point for the Dorset club.

Town boss Paul Jewell looks set to name an unchanged side for the fourth game running when the Blues take on Brighton and Hove Albion at Portman Road on Saturday. The Liverpudlian will be hoping his team keeps a fourth clean sheet in a row for the first time since the 1996/97 season.

Caolan Lavery and Tom Winter scored the goals as Town’s U18s beat Portsmouth 2-1 at Playford Road despite playing for 81 minutes with only 10 men. Defender Jide Maduako was red-carded in the ninth minute for denying an obvious goalscoring opportunity.

Goals from Alan Lee and Jon Walters, his first for the club, broke Town's six-match drought and saw the Blues to a 2-1 victory over QPR. Lee headed home in the first half, Walters netting after the break prior to Paul Furlong pulling a goal back for the visitors.
